Maintaining Your Alloy Wheels

Proper maintenance will prevent damage to the wheel finish and keep the wheel finish warranty from being voided. Before installation, apply a coat of non-abrasive car wax to the wheels (except on wheels with a matte finish) which will help protect the finish and make it easier to clean them. Clean your wheels often using mild soap and water and a soft sponge or cotton cloth to clean them. Reapply a coat of wax at least once per season. Do not use abrasive cleaners, pads, or polishing compounds on your wheels. Do not wash your wheels when they are hot as it will damage the finish. Do not use chrome polish on painted chrome (PVD) wheels; they should only be cleaned with mild soap and water.

Limited Warranty

All RTX Wheels alloy wheels are covered by a lifetime warranty for structural defects, as long as the original buyer owns the product. This warranty is valid only when the wheel(s) are returned to Thibert (our supplier), with prepaid shipping, along with a copy of the original proof of purchase. Thibert's obligation under this warranty is limited to repairing or replacing any wheel deemed defective. Thibert will inspect all warranty returns. Wheels covered by our warranty will be repaired or replaced and returned to the sender, with prepaid shipping. Wheels not covered by the warranty will be returned freight collect.

RTX Wheels alloy wheels are also covered by a limited warranty for aesthetic defects. This warranty is for three (3) years for wheels with a solid finish and one (1) year for wheels with a machined finish. Depending on the indication, this coverage is calculated from the date of purchase.

For any warranty claims, please contact the retailer where your wheels were purchased. They will contact the appropriate department within our distributor to verify if the damages in question are covered by the warranty. What Defects Are Covered

• Peeling of clear coat, chrome, or paint on the face of the wheel.
• Defects in the clear coat, chrome, or painted finish of the wheel.
• Wheels with lateral or radial misalignment greater than 0.025" or 0.635 mm, provided there is no evidence of the impact.
• Wheels with bolt-holes, central bores, or poorly machined offsets.
• Wheels leaking air.

What Defects Are Not Covered

• Peeling of paint, clear coat, or chrome on the barrel or back of the wheel.
• Wheels with lateral or radial misalignment less than 0.025" or 0.635 mm.
• Wheels damaged by an accident, impact, abusive use, negligence, off-road use, racing, or exceeding the maximum load capacity.
• Scratches, stone chips, or scratches due to road hazards.
• Damage caused by the tire installation or the use of an impact wrench.
• Use of clip-on weights on the outer lip of the wheel.
• Corrosion, pits, scratches, or stains due to improper wheel maintenance.
• Wheels that have been altered, modified, or repaired.
• Defects claimed more than one (1) or three (3) years after purchase.
• Claims made by anyone other than the original purchaser.
• The finish warranty for chrome-plated and chrome-painted (PVD) wheels will be void if the wheels are used in winter.
