Summary of 3 auto shows : Montreal, Toronto & Quebec

Each year, Montreal kicks off the Canadian auto show season. For the first time, the Montreal auto show is no longer in the shadow of the Detroit Auto Show, and yes Detroit was moved for the first time in history for summer 2020.

Without the media buzz from the Detroit auto show, Montreal was able to direct the attention to few Canadian premieres.

2020 BMW M2 CS
Small 2-door coupe with 444 horsepower and 405-foot pounds of torque the M2 CS promises superior performance to the M2 competition and a 0-100km / h in only 4.0 seconds.

2020 Ford Mustang Mach-E
For the first time in Canada, the Mustang Mach-E was presented at the Montreal Auto Show. The new all electric SUV Mustang is not the favourite of all hardcore Mustang fans with a futuristic style and 4-door SUV approach. Ford claim a 0-100km / h in about 5.5 seconds and a range of 425 km on a single charge.
2020 Shelby GT500
Montreal was lucky enough to get the new GT500 with 720 Horsepower for the first time in Canada. This Mustang straight out of the drawing boards of the Ford Performance group is the most powerful and fastest ever produced by Ford.

2020 Chevrolet Corevtte C8 Stingray
Chevrolet offers us a tour de force, disturbing the sports car market with the new mid-engine Corvette offering an exotic design and performances for a base price under $ 70,000.
2020 Chevrolet Trailblazer
New subcompact SUV ready for the adventure with its new look of the ACTIV model. An attractive entry-level vehicle positioned between the Chevrolet Trax and the Chevrolet Equinox.

New this year is the Expose ton char zone, showcasing modified cars by young Quebecers.
10 finalists voted by the public had the chance to exhibit their modified car to visitors to the Montreal auto show.
Volvo, Audi and Mercedes-Benz did not attempt the Montreal Auto Show this year. Some of you who have visited the show will say that you have seen a Mercedes-Benz booth, but this year booth was missing the glamor of previous years. The presence of the Mercedes-Benz brand was represented by local dealers in the Montreal area and not by Mercedes-Benz Canada. As for Volvo, they are withdrawing from the full 2020 Canadian auto show season to put their effort into smaller shows, that are not directly related to the Automobile, will this new marketing approach will be a good strategy for them? No one knows for the moment, but one thing is sure… the more manufacturers are withdrawing the greater the chances of seeing the car shows disappear.

The Toronto Auto Show is Canada's largest and most important auto show in the nation, featuring numerous Canadian premieres as well as world premieres.
Chevrolet presents the first convertible Corvette with a hardtop. Again, the new Corvette disturbs the sports car market but this time with the convertible variant.
Canadian premiere of the New Generation Tahoe / Suburban, offering more space and more technology. The 2 models are bigger, and finally the new generation brings us a rear independent suspension, which gives us more space for the third row as well as more cargo space.
Toronto was the world’s first public appearance of the 2021 Escalade. The new Cadillac Escalade has raised the bar for luxury and technology for the large SUVs market. It has a new 38-inches extreme high definition curve screen and for the first time the Escalade will be offered in Diesel version thanks to the new 3.0L Duramax engine.
Canadian premiere of the New Generation of Yukon / Yukon XL. Introduction of the new AT4 model which gives us a more off-road and aggressive look for the Yukon. The Denali model offers us a unique interior in the Yukon range with more refined finishes and a larger screen than the other models in the Yukon range.
Made and design in Québec, the Felino CB7R received some modification for 2020 compare to the previous CB7 model, increasing the power from 550 HP to 750 HP. Antoine Bessette creator of the Felino also announced the arrival of the CB7 + which will offer more power and a lot of improvements on the aerodynamic side.
BUGATTI La Voiture Noire
The only copy of the Bugatti La Voiture Noire was in Toronto to steal the show. A retail price of CAD $ 24.9 million makes this Bugatti the most expensive new car of all time. La Voiture Noire develops 1,480 horsepower and 1,180 pound-feet of torque, breathes through six exhaust pipes, accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 2.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 420 km / h.

Genesis is disrupting the luxury SUV market with the new GV80, an ultra-luxury SUV with too many options to make a list. With a starting price of around $ 50,000 USD the new GV80 promises us a level of luxury for half the price of the competitions.
New Mojave model for the Gladiator which offers us a unique FOX suspension for high speed off-roading. This new model competes with the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison as well as tickling the famous Ford F-150 Raptor. The all-new Gladiator Mojave is the first Jeep vehicle to carry the new Desert Rated emblem.

The Quebec City salon is one of the busiest salons considering its size, this year the salon was a great success, every day was very busy from morning to evening. No major new model unveiling on the side of the Quebec show which is still in the shadow of the Montreal and Toronto shows. Some cars stood out, the Audi RS6 Avant which was not present in Montreal as well as the 2021 GMC Yukon Denali. For the first time in Canada, the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette was open to the public, many future buyers of Corvette travelled from far away to come and test the cabin of the new mid-engine sports car. The Silverwax pavilion attracted car enthusiasts and dreamers with several vintage and exotic cars that exceeded + $ 1 million, Ferrari F40, Bugatti Veyron, Porsche 918 and many others.
