Sema Show 2015

Each year during the first week of November is held the biggest exposition of the automotive aftermarket industry in Las Vegas Nevada, the SEMA show. This year the RTX team was there to check out the latest trends of the industry.

Trucks, big trucks and bigger trucks. The tuning scene has evolved over the last decade and trucks are taking over the market. Every company now has a line of wheels and accessories for the most popular pickup trucks on the market. From overfenders to LED lights and crazy wide wheels, the Convention Center was filled with all the parts and accessories you can think of for your truck.

High end sport cars with wide bodies. The days of buying high price tags exotics and leave them in stock form as collector’s items seems to be over. Everywhere you look inside and outside of the building, you could see a Porsche, Ferrari or Lamborghini fitted with a riveted wide body, custom wheels and crazy graphics. We’ll be honest, this is something we actually really, really appreciate!

Our main focus during our visit was of course directed to the wheels and tires hall. This year again, the variety of finishes was very impressive, showing that the manufacturers are listening to customers asking for the most personalized set of wheels possible. Truck wheels were all over the place and we can see that latest technologies like FlowForming are making their ways to become the new norm for all kind of wheels.

The SEMA show is the ultimate happenning in our industry and we are glad to see that this year was the biggest show, both in attendance and in the size and complexity of the exhibitor’s booths, we’ve seen in a long time. This is proof that the industry is currently very healthy and that the customer demand for new innovations and products is stronger than it’s been for years.
